Seven is the seventh sibling in the family and the youngest of his siblings. His voice is reminiscent of Boris Karloff's, the late actor known for playing monster roles in the 1930s. Like Four and Five, Seven is voiced by Sean Cullen. In the UK version, though, he is voiced by James McAvoy.
Appearance[]
Seven is a tall, puppet-like monster with pale skin, gray hair, horns, and eyes with bright yellow sclera. He can screw his head on and off. And it sometimes winds up in various places. He wears blue pajamas with thin, white stripes and a large, red number 7 on the front. On his sleeves, Seven wears white bands that have a red number 7 on them. He also wears black and white saddle shoes.
Personality[]
Despite his scary appearance, Seven is a kind, timid monster who loves cheese and is frightened by bugs. He tends to ask for the definition of words he's unfamiliar with. Because of his fearful nature, his brother, Four, sometimes scares or annoys him just for fun. Out of his siblings, Seven is arguably the closest to his mother.
Book "Seven's head falls off a lot." - One[]
In the original book by Maurice Sendak, Seven's line is "Seven just screws off his head." Unlike in the TV series, Seven's head in the book has a screw on the bottom that goes into a hole at the base of his neck, whereas in the TV series; his head has a hole that screws into a screw on top of his neck.
